Medical After Hours On-call Dispatch

Our voice messaging service will answer your telephone after hours and inform the caller you are currently closed with a timed sensitive greeting.  The caller will be given the following options.  If this is an after hours emergency requiring immediate assistance from the on-call doctor press 1.  To leave a message for the office staff to be returned during regular business hours press 2.  To hear general office information including office hours, address, directions and fax number press 3.  To be connected to our automated 24 hours Lab Test Results Hotline Press 4. 

After Hours Emergency

If the caller presses option 1 they are asked to leave a detail message include pertinent information (name, phone number, symptoms, etc) (They are advised if life threatening to hang up and go the the ER)

Once the message is left your voicemail begins it's message notification sequence.  The notification can be completely tailored to your liking.  (Pager, Cell Phone, Home Phone, Email, PDA or Fax Machine

The number of times it tries and the time it waits is customizable before it will go to the next notification device.

For Example:  Emergency message is left.  Your voice mail will call your pager and display your voicemail number -911 (268-5468-911, telling you, you have an emergency message waiting)

If you received the page, you simply call your 268-5465 voicemail number and retrieve the message. 

If you missed the page. Your voicemail will wait 5 minutes and then re-beep you

Wait 5 more minutes and re-beep you.

Then, if you still haven't listened to the message, your voicemail  will call you on your cell phone and deliver the message to you

If no answer, it will call your home phone and deliver the message to you. 

The sequence can them be repeated to insure that all after hours emergencies are handled in a professional manner.

If you share On-call duties with other doctors in your office it is extremely easy to switch your voicemail to change the new on-call doctor
