Line Processing Controller:         Configurable from 4 ports to 64 ports.  The line processing controller makes use of shared memory buffers and high speed on board micro-processor to support 4 independent telephone interfaces and voice compression/expansion processors.  Adaptive differential pulse code modulation (ADPCM) is used to minimize data storage and transfer requirements while still maintaining toll quality voice.
